If you are familiar with DMX software, you will love this. If this is the first time buying DMX software, it's a great way to go, but be prepared to spend 1-3 solid hours of watching videos and reading the manual. It is as intuitive as it can be, but it does so much that you really need to learn how it works before you jump in.

All DMX software is hard to learn. Even a DMX controller will take a good 30 minutes of practice before you get the hang of it. But if you put the time in, you will love the Blizzard Eclipse DMX. Once you have mastered it, you will be able to create shows in a fraction of the time a traditional controller would take. A scene that would typically take hours with a traditional controller would take minutes with this.

If you put the time in learning it, you will not regret it!
The Eclipse DMX software is a great way to get to the next level with your light show. Whether you are creating scenes for a play or a live band or want to have immediate access to all of your fixtures to create a real-time DJ show that responds to the crowd the Eclipse DMX software will get you there. The simple layout and intuitive design will allow you to quickly make scenes. Having presets for color chases and movement chases all right there at your fingertips make programming extremely complex shows possible without headaches. The built in viewer will enable you to make the show before you set up the lights but you will have to tweak the positions at setup time. The playback mode is designed around buttons that you make and then can sequence or have several active at the same time. Creating color and position templates enable you to modify many buttons at once by simply modifying the templates.
This is absolutely what i have been looking for. This is a wonderful affordable software DMX controller. Blizzard Lighting makes some fantastic stuff. They have great support, their warranties are double of what you would have from other brands. I watched some of the tutorial videos on Blizzard.com website. And the software is so friendly. I also have Martin Light Jockey and it is very complex. I strongly urge this product. Thanks KPODJ for the great price and for getting it so quick!
love this software just have to get use to the software better then line light software
Great software!!! Easy to use once you go over tutorials on YouTube by Joel from Blizzard Lighting. My only wish would be if it would run native on a Mac.
There are a number of DMX dongles and software out there in the $200-$400 price range. I've tried some others as well as played around with the software that you can typically download and install for free without making an actual purchase of the dongle. I have a number of users, young and old. The Blizzard Eclipse software is reasonably intuitive and for the most part offers enough bells and whistles to make it a worthwhile investment. I happen to like the playback screen where you can arrange buttons with titles that provide your different lighting scenes that you created on the editing portion of the program and saved as a button. Creating special buttons that combine scenes is pretty useful. For example, if you program LED PAR lights and effects on one button and program moving lights with different effects on another button. You can run PARS then switch to moving lights, or by using the CTRL key toggle both on together or turn one off and leave one on, or, create a new button that with one click runs both scenes, on or off. I would suggest you try the software out and see for yourself.
If you want simplicity to create professional light shows at a entry level cost, this is your product. I love, love, love this software. I use it in all kinds of settings from simple par cans to large intelligent moving head shows. I definitely recommend this software and to buy it from KPODJ as I got the very best price and service. I had it to my house in 2 days.
