Very high quality build. It is a pleasure just to move the various sliders around due to the tight design and quality. Blizzard makes quality products, and its obvious in this controller. No issues getting it working with my pucks, but I am really looking forward to going wireless when my WIcycles get here. Would recommend!
I'll echo Joshua's enthusiasm regarding the Kontrol 5. It is a plug and play solution for my generic RGBAW flat pars, and programming and setup are about as intuitive as it gets. Having 5 sliders controlling 5 colors makes dialing in exactly what I want easy, and there is plenty of room for all the scenes I need. I'm still playing with chases, but feel that I'll be equally impressed with them as well. Overall build quality is right up there with Blizzard's standards, and I feel good dealing with them after having met a bunch of their factory reps at Infocomm last Summer. Hats off also to KPODJ- this was my first purchase from you, and certainly wont be my last.
Works well and is a pretty simple device. Had to set my Blizzard uplights to 5-channel for it to work correctly.
Joshua A: I would add that I now own a Obey 70 in addition to the Kontrol 5, and the quality difference is apparent. The Obey 70 just feels cheaper, the sliders are more "sticky" which makes precision adjusts more difficult, as you have to apply too much pressure to make them move, and they then "jump". Not a big deal, but since all these products are priced similarly, and provide similar functions, it's worthwhile to go with the higher quality controllers. Just my opinion, but my Blizzard controller is noticeably higher quality than my Chauvet controller.
