The Electro-Voice EVERSE 12 is a really useful battery-powered speaker for situations where running AC power is inconvenient or impossible. For ceremonies, outdoor cocktail hours, remote event spaces, or quick pop-up sound setups, having a 12” powered speaker with long battery runtime makes the setup process much easier. One thing I like about the EVERSE 12 is that it feels more like a real professional PA speaker than a small portable box. The 400-watt Dynacord amplifier gives it solid output for speech, background music, and smaller DJ/event applications, while the 12” woofer gives it more low-end presence than compact battery speakers. The QuickSmart Mobile app is also a practical feature. Being able to adjust settings wirelessly from a phone is especially helpful during ceremonies, where the speaker may be placed away from the mixing position. The USB-C charging port is a nice bonus for keeping a phone or tablet powered, and the 12V DC output is very useful if you want to run a compatible wireless microphone receiver without needing a separate power source. The EVERSE 12 is a strong choice for mobile DJs, wedding officiants, ceremony systems, corporate events, and outdoor sound where reliability and convenience matter. It is not meant to replace a full-scale powered PA for large dance floors, but for battery-powered ceremony and event audio, the Electro-Voice EVERSE 12 is one of the more practical options in this category.
I really like the Electro-Voice EVERSE 8, especially for fully wireless setups. My favorite feature is the battery share function. Being able to power a wireless microphone receiver directly from the speaker makes the whole system cleaner, faster to set up, and much easier to use in places where AC power is limited or inconvenient. Sound quality is very good for a compact battery-powered speaker. The EVERSE 8 has a clear, polished sound that works well for speech, small performances, ceremonies, cocktail hours, fitness instruction, and portable DJ use. For its size, the output is also one of the stronger options I’ve heard in the battery speaker category. It does not feel underpowered the way some smaller rechargeable speakers can. The app is useful, especially for Bluetooth connection and basic volume control. Personally, I would not rely on the app for every adjustment during an event, but it is nice to have quick wireless access when needed. For anyone needing a compact portable PA speaker with strong battery performance, good sound, and a very practical wireless mic setup, the Electro-Voice EVERSE 8 is an easy recommendation.
Great speaker. Use it for cocktail hours and ceremonies. With the Shure SLXD-5 wireless system you don't need any electricity. Well worth the money.
This speaker has helped me make ceremony and cocktail stress free with its easy to use system. I also use it as a monitor during reception and for smaller gigs.

Just the right size and power. DSP is cool, but the portability and output is what I love. Plus, I love the fact that you can share the battery with a wireless mic receiver.

Great sounding speaker and very versatile for mobile dj needs. The app to control the built in mixer is a game changer!
