Electro Voice EVID 4.2 is a compact full-range 2-way surface-mount loudspeaker built for commercial audio installations where clear sound, flexible aiming, and a clean visual appearance are important. Its dual 4-inch low-frequency drivers, titanium high-frequency driver, and weather-resistant enclosure make it a strong choice for restaurants, bars, patios, retail stores, and similar installed sound environments.
The Electro Voice EVID 4.2 is designed for compact commercial sound reinforcement where performance and appearance both matter. Its elliptical ABS enclosure is paintable and available in black or white, making it easy to match the loudspeaker to a wide range of interior or exterior design layouts.
With two 4-inch low-frequency transducers and a 1-inch titanium diaphragm high-frequency driver with a neodymium magnetic structure, the EVID 4.2 delivers clear full-range audio with a frequency response of 65Hz to 20kHz. The vented LF enclosure helps improve low-frequency output, while full-bandwidth overload protection helps protect both LF and HF components during demanding use.
The Coherent Coverage Waveguide provides broad 120° horizontal and 80° vertical coverage when mounted with the long axis in the vertical plane, making the speaker well suited for consistent sound across dining areas, retail floors, patios, bars, and other commercial spaces. The included Strong-Arm Mount offers flexible 100° swing and 90° rotation for precise aiming after installation.
The “T” version supports 70V and 100V distributed systems with selectable transformer taps, while also offering 8-ohm bypass operation. Magnetically shielded construction also makes the Electro Voice EVID 4.2 suitable for video-adjacent applications.
