Very loud and powerful, I have no issues doing <100 people events without a sub. They carry far outdoors, as well as indoors. The onboard processing elimates external devices, and makes it easy when pairing with a subwoofer. EV has conducted tests on settings to run the EKX tops with the EKX subs, making them most efficient.<br /> I definitely recommend DJ's and show producers to consider these.<br /> <br /> I use these for DJin and for small production shows
First off, the shipping was really fast, if I'm not mistaken it arrived within 24 hours of me placing the order. So kudos to KPODJ on that aspect of the order.<br /> <br /> The speaker is really good. I have a set of the ELX112P's, and this is certainly a step up. I did a wedding reception yesterday in an old restored barn, the kind with crazy high ceilings. They had me perched up in a loft, so I was way above the height of where you normally/ideally would want your speakers. It was for 120 people. I used just 1 of these speakers, and I didn't need to max out the volume. So for me, one of these can easily be used for an event of 125 people or less. I'm a big fan.
These are great tops. Great full sound, very loud and the dsp functions are helpful! I've done several gigs with these ranging from corporate gatherings to high school Homecoming dances and due to the fan cooling, they not never got hot even on hot summer days. I mainly have load in and out by myself and with these i'm able to have that great sound and professional. Plus EV gave me a set of covers! Great Company!
