The RANE FOUR feels like a serious professional controller the moment you take it out of the box. The all-metal construction gives it a very solid, road-ready feel, and it comes across more like a club mixer and media player setup combined into one unit instead of a typical plastic DJ controller. One of the biggest strengths for me was how smoothly the stem features are integrated. The controls are easy to understand and fast to use during live mixing, which makes acapella layering, instrumental cuts, and quick live edits feel natural instead of distracting. It also worked flawlessly with both Serato DJ and VirtualDJ during testing, which is important for DJs who move between different software platforms. The output sounds clean and powerful on larger systems, and the mixer section has the polished feel you would expect from RANE gear. I also liked having external effects support, which gives the RANE FOUR more flexibility for DJs who already use outboard processors or want to expand beyond onboard software effects. The long pitch faders are another detail I appreciated. Fine tempo adjustments feel more controlled, especially for DJs who prefer manual beatmatching. Dual USB support is also a huge advantage for events and club situations where multiple DJs are performing back-to-back. Being able to switch over seamlessly without interrupting music makes setup much easier in real-world use. Awesome mixer; not for features. but build quality. One of the best sound cards on the market. Stem technology is unsurpassed. The case construction is very sturdy. Go compare it to the Pioneer DDJ-FLX10. Great workflow for a true four channel and Serato designed controller.
