P65 rated for outdoor use, the ToughPARâ„¢ Fab5â„¢ is built from durable cast aluminum with a tempered glass lens and watertight internal gaskets. In DMX mode, you can control the ToughPar Fab5â„¢ with either 3/4/5/6/7 or 12 DMX channels. You'll have full control of many features such as RGBAW color mixing, strobe, ultra smooth flicker-free 32-bit dimming, 10 auto run modes, or even 10 user-defined programs of up to 30 steps. The 4-button LED control panel also allows total control over the fixture including master/slave settings, 11 separate customizable RGBW based white balance settings, upload feature and more.

This is a solid color wash LED instrument. Heavy construction. Excellent RGBAW color mixing. Awesome dimmer curves; by default it seems to have a nice fade out like an incandescent fixture. Waterproof. Best of all: dead silent. No fans. I have some of the noisy Puck Fab5s as well. This Tough Par Fab 5 is great for quiet musical acts and theatrical use. I'll never allow a fan above the stage again unless it is a super loud music performance.<br /> <br /> There was confusion about the connectors. Neither KPODJ opt Blizzard document it well. The fixture comes with waterproof connector pigtails instead of sockets for both power and DMX. These connectors screw together with o-rings for a water tight seal. Pigtail cables are about 18-24" long. DMX has smaller watertight connectors than the power connectors. Each light also includes an Edison adapter cable with an Edison male plug on one end and watertight connector on the other. This adds 3-4' to the power cable length. Each light also includes two DMX adapter cables to convert from 3-pin DMX (male and female) to the appropriate watertight connection. If you use both of these, you can extend the spacing between lights to 6 to 8 feet. You lose the watertight feature with regular 3-pin DMX but that's usually OK. Blizzard sells watertight extension DMX cables as well.<br /> <br /> I love these lights and will buy more. Same brightness as the Puck Fab5 but absolutely silent, waterproof, and built tough as a tank.
