This sub sounds and performs great! I use this sub with a pair of EV EKX12p's which are also great speakers. Just used the system in a high school gymnasium for a dance and it played really loud all night with no limiting in sight. I went with the 15 over the 18 for space and weight considerations and I don't regret it at all. It only has 1 dB less output and at 57 lbs its a breeze to transport. I recommend the covers for all the speakers although the finish is really durable. I plan to get a second 15sp soon and take advantage of the Cardioid mode.
