Wow! The first thing that hits you with these speakers is how clear they are. They overall sound is very balanced more "pro" than the usual deep "V" sound of some of the cheaper consumer stuff. I compared them side by side with my jbl srx815p speakers and while the JBLs handled the really deep bass (subwoofer range) a bit better, everything above that range was killed by the FBT. The FBT isn't weak with the bass either. 50hz and higher hits HARD and clear without breaking up. The midbass is especially well handled. The large high frequency driver also helps these things throw a long way. I can hear them clearly 50-80 yards away with a surprising punchy sound from that distance. My JBLs sounded more distorted at a similar volume. Pair these with a couple of good subs (I use the excellent FBT subline 18a) and you have a huge sound to play to much larger crowds. Did i mention that theee speakers are nearly half the weight, half the physical size, and cheaper than my srx815p speakers. These are an amazing deal. If you want to step up your sound from the generic consumer grade sound of most speakers then these might be your best option. Highly recommended.
These speakers are incredible. They are loud, clear, and look amazing. I used them for a funeral reception of about 120 people and at 20% max volume you could clearly hear the music all the way across the hall. They were so loud I actually had to turn them down. The frequency range is perfect for my use but if you want anything below 50 Hz you will need a subwoofer. I love these speakers and they were a great investment. Also the build quality is pristine. Lastly, the EQ is easy to use and the speaker comes with several presets for a variety of signal inputs. Get these speakers.
The first thing about these speakers I will comment on is.....VERY LOUD!!!!....they kick arse. I had 4 JBL prx612's and I thought they were really good until I got these....the bottom end is good enough to use without a sub with a group of 200 or less...I use these in a DJ setup and also with live music...I actually had to turn the speakers down to -20db to balance my mixer with them because they are so loud...135db....when testing them in my driveway, a neighbor from a 1/4 away said he heard them....these speakers are not joke!!...they are worth every penny (dollar) you pay for....the reason I purchased them was on recommendation from Mike at KPODJ. All the components are made in Italy..NOT CHINA. I've been a DJ/Musician for over 35 years and these are the best speakers I've ever used....Don't second guess, GET THEM!!!
