Love these alone in deep mode for small mobile gigs and paired with the 181 for larger affairs that need that club feel.
These are my new favorite speakers. They are very versatile speakers and can be used in so many different venues.
By far the best bang for your buck. Some say you get what you pay for and you do get what you pay for. This may be a pricey speaker but it's everything you'll need. Will be purchasing some more K series products in the near future. Simple design, a lot of options for plugging into the K series line male female xlr, rca, quarter inch. Great for the mobile DJ and much much more.
Light and portable and sound great. Adjustable Deep mode is a great feature.
For a small event you need nothing more than two of these speakers.
This Speakers are a little Up there in Price, but for a company that tells you they will guaranty they will work for 6yr's warranty who else back up there product like this.. In my book QSC hit another 1 out the Park. Call KPODJ for all your Dj Gear they will take care of you.. Joe Capo Good Guy.
These speakers are amazing. I've used them for the past 4 years, without a sub, and I always receive tons of compliments. The sound is always clear, and it doesn't blow you away when you stand right next to it. The sound travels without having to crank it.
The speakers are fantastic. Not only do we use for inside venues but also outside venues as well. Sound is amazing and it travels very nicely without a great deal of distortion. The dials on the back make it possible to use in a small inside venue such as a garage or in a large outdoor venue like a dance hall. Great speakers if you don't mind carrying two 41 lbs speakers...by far my favorite speakers I've ever owned.
I bought a pair of these speakers a few years ago and have absolutely not been disappointed. My main set up is a pair of 15" EV ZXA5 speakers, but I use these for smaller events and as a second/third set up at weddings for ceremonies, etc. Although the price is higher than most powered 12" speakers, you're getting a extremely high quality speaker with an almost unbeatable warranty through QSC and a back panel/mixer section surpassed by probably no other speaker in its class. With two separate inputs with RCA, 1/4" and XLR inputs with separate gain control and daisy-chain'able output section, the K12 comes in handy when mixing different sources and makes it possible to run a microphone and then say an iPod at the same time. The weight isn't unbearable able with plenty of handles, lifting and lowering the speaker is fairly painless. If you want quality and don't mind spending a little extra money to get it, you can't go wrong with the K12 or any other speaker in the QSC K-series.
These speakers are very versatile. Mobile djs need these speakers in your life. Plug in an iPod directly plug up your mixer. Anything you need to do can happen. These speakers are rugged and handle punishment.
I already have a pair of k10 cabs which fantastic. The K12's sound different (not better or worse)
I tested JBL, EV, and RCF and liked these the best. There's a reason so many swear by QSC cabs. It's no hype.
As for KPODJ, the prices are fantastic, the service is great, and the shipping is second to none!
These seem to be the de facto standard for mid-level mobile DJ Speakers. They get loud and have good bass response, especially with "deep" mode enabled. It's convenient having two mic/line inputs plus RCA aux in.

Where these speakers fall short is in the high frequency range. They just aren't as crisp and clean as a lot other speakers in this price range. Even the cheaper EV ZLX-12P has better clarity (although it doesn't get nearly as loud).

That being said, if you get a good deal on these you won't go wrong... They are very reliable speakers and they look good too. But if you're a pro audio person and you hear these next to some competitors, the somewhat lacking clarity from the horn will become apparent.

Tip: The cheaper EV ZLX-12P cover fits these speakers well.
