RF Venue DFINW Description

The RF Venue DFINW Diversity Fin uses two different antenna elements positioned at right angles to one another. The directional log-periodic dipole array captures one polarization while the bi-directional dipole captures the other, allowing a diversity wireless system to receive RF energy across both horizontal and vertical polarization planes.

This configuration performs the function normally handled by two separate diversity antennas while requiring only one physical mounting location. The design is especially useful in indoor and reflective spaces where multipath interference and changing transmitter orientation can contribute to inconsistent wireless reception.

The DFINW is built for fixed installations and features a matte white finish intended to blend more easily into classrooms, houses of worship, theaters, corporate spaces, broadcast facilities, and other finished interiors. The wall-mount version is supplied with an L-bracket and installation hardware, and the antenna itself uses two BNC female outputs for connection to both branches of a diversity receiver or antenna distribution system.

Operating across 470-698 MHz, the DFINW is compatible with diversity wireless microphone systems using appropriate UHF frequencies and 50-ohm BNC antenna connections. Two equal-length, low-loss 50-ohm coaxial cables are required for connection and are not included.
