The Yamaha DXR12MKIII delivers a strong balance of portability and performance, making it one of the most versatile models in the DXR mk3 powered speaker range. Its 12-inch low-frequency driver and 1.75-inch high-frequency compression driver are paired with a 2-way bi-amped bass-reflex design that supports clear, powerful reproduction for live music, DJs, corporate AV, houses of worship, and fixed installation use.
Powered by a newly developed 2000W Class-D amplifier, the DXR12MKIII is capable of producing up to 134 dB SPL while maintaining clarity and precision. Yamaha’s FIR-X tuning combines linear-phase FIR filters with corrective EQ to reduce phase distortion and improve crossover performance, while Drive Motion Calibration helps produce more linear and reliable low-frequency response. Together, these technologies help the speaker deliver refined full-range sound with controlled coverage and strong punch.
The lightweight polypropylene enclosure is designed for practical, everyday use in demanding environments. Its symmetrical cabinet supports flexible positioning for mirror-image monitor setups, while the dual-angle pole socket allows mounting at either 0 degrees or a -7 degree down tilt. The cabinet can also be used as a floor monitor with a 52-degree monitor angle, and integrated rigging points support suspended or installed applications with compatible hardware.
For added flexibility, the speaker includes DSP modes for FOH/MAIN, MONITOR, DJ, LIVE MUSIC, SPEECH, and OFF, along with AUTO V/H POSITION for automatic mode changes based on speaker orientation. Bluetooth 5.0 audio streaming and Yamaha’s D-Remote app support make the Yamaha DXR12MKIII easy to control wirelessly from iOS and Android devices, with access to level, EQ, delay, crossover, feedback suppression, scene recall, and other system parameters.
