Black Lion PG-1 mkII

Rackmount Power Conditioner with Sequencing

Black Lion PG-1 mkII is a 1U rackmount power conditioner designed to deliver filtered, surge-protected power for studios, DJ systems, live sound rigs, and production racks. With isolated outlet groups, high-current power sequencing, PG-99 filtering technology, voltage monitoring, and front-panel convenience features, it provides a more complete power management solution for sensitive audio equipment.

Black Lion PG-1 mkII Competitive Differences

• PG-99 filtering technology uses premium Panasonic and Wima capacitors to help eliminate high-frequency noise
• Eight rear switched, filtered, and surge-protected outlets are organized into Digital Audio, Analog Audio, and High Current groups
• Time-delayed high-current outlets help turn speakers and power amplifiers on last and off first to reduce turn-on and shut-down pops
• Two front filtered convenience outlets provide quick access for temporary gear or accessories
• LED voltage meter, status indicators, and audio alarm help monitor grounding, polarity, filtering, abnormal voltage, and surge protection
• 2775 joules of power absorption provides strong surge protection for connected equipment

Black Lion PG-1 mkII Description

The Black Lion PG-1 mkII is built for professionals who need more than basic rack power distribution. It combines power filtering, surge protection, outlet grouping, power sequencing, and real-time status monitoring in a standard 19 in rackmount format for studios, live sound racks, DJ rigs, broadcast setups, and AV installations.

The rear panel includes eight switched outlets divided into four filtered groups: two Digital Audio groups, one Analog Audio group, and one High Current group. This layout helps organize different types of gear while the high-current outlets provide sequenced operation, ensuring speakers and power amplifiers are the last devices to turn on and the first to turn off.

Black Lion’s PG-99 filtering technology is designed to reduce high-frequency noise that can prevent connected equipment from performing at its best. Built with premium Panasonic and Wima capacitors, the filtering system is intended for sensitive audio components such as interfaces, converters, preamps, processors, mixers, wireless systems, amplifiers, and powered speakers.

The Black Lion PG-1 mkII also gives users clear front-panel feedback for safer operation. An LED voltage meter provides real-time voltage monitoring, while status indicators show grounding, polarity, noise filtering, abnormal voltage, and surge protection conditions. An audio alarm warns of unsafe voltage, and the front panel also includes two filtered convenience outlets, a USB charging port, and an XLR lamp connector.
