These speakers sound fantastic! I use two of them coupled with an ELX-118P sub for DJing. When I'm not using them for gigs I have them set up in my living room for one of the best home sound systems you can imagine.

The mids and highs are phenomenal, crystal clear sound that is not hard on the ears, even at high volume. The bass is only OK, but they're designed to be used with a subwoofer anyway, so I don't knock them for that at all. They also get very loud! Two will be just fine for even large sized weddings (300 people).

I like how they included an RCA input on the back to make this a really portable PA that doesn't require a mixer to use. I'll bring one outside when I'm hanging out with friends and set it up in the monitor position; best boom-box anyone could ask for!

Downsides: not very mobile-friendly. They're kind of heavy and only have one handle on the side. The wood that they're made out of is kind of soft and is prone to getting beat up if you aren't careful. I bought the soft covers that EV sells for transporting, and it's all good. The wood cabinets create a beautiful sound, but also add weight and make it prone to blemishes.
The EXL112P is a great sounding plywood enclosure. The built in digital amp is rated at 1000 W. This speaker is very clear sounding with excellent mid range. It does not have the ear fatiguing bump in the high mid frequencies found with some less costly powered speakers. The input section features an eq button that reduces mids for low volume playback and another button to remove low frequency for use when sub woofers are used. Two XLR inputs with separate volume controls are provided. The XLR out put is idea for connection to a sub woofer and a switch allows inputs 1 and 2 to be summed. I do suggest you get the bags when you buy these as the plywood is easily scratched in transit.
